surprisingly enough
life continues to move along
at a speed
that fascinates me
remember when you were a child
and each year seemed eons long
as a middle aged adult
I’m shocked at how quickly
things move
time has a way of slipping past us
and if we aren’t paying attention
we’ll miss the whole show
I have to put the thoughts
of this past weekend
and my daughter
away for now
I have to get about the business
of finding a new job
so for your entertainment today
I’m attaching someone else’s blog
a story about my fairly recent past
written by a friend
I may be back later
but for now
this will have to do for you
because at times
of real stress
it doesn’t hurt
to be reminded of
having done something well
