I had a really crappy work week
what I really really needed
was a quiet weekend
with no pressure
yet
for some reason
I still don’t understand
I got this wild hair…
and decided to upgrade my computer
from Windows XP to Windows 7
Everyone I know has been raving about 7 so…
here I am 2 days later…
whimpering and sucking my thumb.
the uploader
wouldn’t let me lay the upgrade over my files
so I had to customize the format
and as a result have been fighting with it
all day Saturday
and all day today
I’d moved all my files
to an external before starting
so the only thing that was left
on my hardrive was the XP files
…it was damn near empty
yet
for some reason…
the upload completely filled my hard drive
and I’m unable to unpack any of my files
cos there’s no space left
while I haven’t lost any files
(that I’ve yet to see)
I can’t get the damn thing
to do almost anything I tell it
I am however moving well past the
“I’m gonna shoot this thing with the shotgun”
through the
“I’m gonna hit thing thing with a hammer”
through the
“I got a bucket of water with your name on it”
and well into
“if you are looking for me….
I’ll be in the corner sucking my thumb”
W.T.F. WAS I THINKING???
