let’s discuss the start of this day
it’s gray and cloudy
all of a sudden the humidity level in my new place is 88% again
not outside
inside
clothes I hung on a drying rack
on Monday night
are still wet

I hook up the dehumidifier
stagger around
get in the car
have to turn around and go back cos I left my pills on the counter
while grabbing my pills I remember my patch cord for my blackberry
so I can update my calendar.

stop at the grocery store looking for something for lunch
settle on some fruit (amongst other things)
get to the counter and drop it all on the floor

Get to Timmies for coffee
forgot my travel mug at work
and didn’t get another from home
(I probably have more travel mugs and water bottles
than any other human being)

get an xl with double cream
walk to the car
open the door
lid pops off the coffee
scalding my hand and hitting just about every level surface in my new car
included the cloth seats!

sop it up as best I can
I’ll need to get that shampoo’d
but I’m away this weekend
and the following 2 weekend

get in the car
on the wet seat
now have a wet ass
at work

so I call the dealership
in the town I’m going to
and make an appt
for Sat morning detailing
for 9AM
no such thing as rest on a long weekend eh?

get to work
drool the 2nd cup of coffee on my shirt?

Can I go back to bed?

I’m constantly befuddled
by people
getting all bent out of shape
by what others
think of them

I know it’s a human trait
and I know as a vessel of the gods
I strive continually
to no longer pay attention

still…I remain human enough
that it bothers me
to see someone’s light
dampened
by
some sanctimonious
jackass
in judgement

I’m not talking about
the kind of judgement
one has when they see
say an ordinary woman
in low rise jeans
that looks like
she’s been poured
into them
(frankly a look I’ve never liked
but hey? if it doesn’t bother you
why should it bother the rest of us)

I’m talking about the kind of judgement
that free spirits get
when they don’t meet the perceived
needs or wants
of society.

Srsly?
what gives anyone the right
to judge?

As long as no one is being hurt
what gives anyone the right?

don’t like the way someone is dressed?
don’t look
don’t like the way someone speaks?
don’t listen
don’t like the way someone walks?
don’t look
don’t like what someone posts?
move along

really?
it ain’t rocket science…
and it doesn’t show how small they are
it shows how absolutely minuscule you are.
