today
I am going to meet up
with a bunch of friends
I haven’t seen for a while

and as a result
I’ve been thinking on
where I’ve been
and who I’ve become
and what I’ve learned
along the way

I’ve been thinking about
how it is
that we all got to this place?

and I’ve been thinking about
just what it was
that I did
to get here?

what did I do to these friends
to keep them away from me for so long?

did I judge them?
did I hold myself above them?
was I mean?
or unthinkingly cruel?
or was it just
a general malaise and apathy?

I don’t know…
but being a firm beleiver in
accountablity
I’m ready to take my share of the blame
