I used to think that the gods had plans for me<\/span>
(how arrogant is that?)<\/p>\n

<\/span>and that plan
was to create family<\/span>
out of a group of people<\/span>
whose only connection <\/span>
would be me….
<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I did it for years in the east
when I was the Baby
<\/span>and I started again <\/span>
when I came out here
and became the WyzWmn
<\/span>
things<\/span>
for the most part<\/span>
went along swimmingly<\/span>
for a long time<\/p>\n

I now know that was likely
because I was blindly arrogant
<\/span>
I volunteered for charity<\/span>
for years<\/span>
I also became an officer <\/span>
in a riding club<\/span>
for years<\/span>
and as a result
of all that and more
<\/span>became “fast friends”<\/span>
with a huge group of people
all over the world
<\/span>
I sub-consciously saw myself acting<\/span>
as a fulcrum<\/span>
to bring these people<\/span>
from different walks of life<\/span>
together<\/span><\/p>\n

During the process
I learned a lot about myself<\/p>\n

<\/span>I learned that I don’t suffer fools<\/span>
or drunks lightly<\/span><\/p>\n

I learned that I’m gregarious <\/span>
but still shy<\/p>\n

I learned that I’m strong
but usually terrified
<\/span>
I learned that I’m able to intimidate people<\/span>
with my words<\/span>
as opposed to my fists
but the fists are still there
should the need arise…
<\/span>
I learned that I’m a story teller<\/span>
not a writer<\/span><\/p>\n

I learned that I hold most dear<\/span>
morality, integrity, honesty,<\/span>
principles, sincerity, goodness,<\/span>
kindness, honour, trustworthiness
and truth
<\/span>
and that the words “respect”<\/span>
and “family” are two
of the most maligned<\/span>
misused words
in the English language.<\/span><\/p>\n

I learned that it<\/span>
turns out I was wrong
that it turns out
<\/span>that I was blindly arrogant<\/span>
that it turns out
that’s not what the god’s
had in store for me<\/span><\/p>\n

I learned that I gain power from myself<\/span>
from expressing myself with integrity…<\/p>\n

<\/span>and that as my horoscope for today says:<\/span>
“The depth of my convictions are intense<\/span>
and I should not be afraid to say<\/span>
what is on my mind<\/span>
to confirm for others<\/span>
exactly where I stand”
