How weird must it be for a person who spent their whole life being Type A to all of a sudden not be any more?

\nTo spend years and years being hyper organized and detailed and having everything under control in both your personal and professional lives and then all of a sudden you hit your head one too many times and that\u2019s gone? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To go from making lists and (sometimes) frantically acting upon them and being hyper focussed on everything you do to making lists and then making lists of your lists\u2026but never actioning them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Almost every day I say exactly the same thing to myself\u2026. \u201cToday I really must do such and such\u201d\u2026. And then tomorrow morning, I say to myself \u201ctoday I really must do such and such\u201d\u2026.and the day after, and the day after that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019s no frantic (unless I\u2019m in a crowd) there\u2019s no hyper focus, there\u2019s no guilt about not getting things done and often it may take me a week or several to get a job accomplished\u2026 It\u2019s not like there\u2019s anything in the way and it\u2019s not like I\u2019m lazy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is what living with a brain injury is like. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve always thought there has been some kind of neuro spicy going on in my brain. I\u2019ve always thought that I don\u2019t react like others, and I don\u2019t view many things like others\u2026 and in spite of family members and loved ones, always telling me that I am smart, intelligent articulate. I have always felt that I was missing something\u2026that I wasn\u2019t quite getting the point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Well apparently one too many knocks on the head has allowed me to just \u201clet it go\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
