I have this beat up old plastic travel mug\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s one of those squat bottom jobs\ufffc\ufffc, made of plastic and whatever design was on it\noriginally is wearing off\u2026 it was Digger\u2019s and he used to use it on the\ndashboard of his truck before metal travel mugs became a thing\u2026He gave it to me\nabout a year before he passed away because I had been up visiting him and he\nwanted me to have something warm to drink on the road on the way back home\ufffc\ufffc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So every morning no matter what cup I use to make coffee it\nends up getting poured into this ugly black plastic fat bottom travel mug\nbecause in my minds eye it makes me feel like\ufffc\ufffc\nmy dad made me coffee to keep me warm and safe\u2026every day I have my coffee in\nthis mug while sitting in the La-Z-Boy chair that was his and I feel like I\u2019m\nhaving coffee with Digger\u2026and we discuss my plans for the day.\ud83d\udc9a\ufffc Periodically I hear from Doreen\nin my mind\u2019s eye as well\u2026 she always gives good advice\u2026And I always used to\nlaugh at mom because she heated her cream before adding it to her coffee\u2026 and\nnow I\u2019m doing the same thing lol\u2026.without a frother lol<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve said it before and I\u2019ll say it again\u2026 Getting old ain\u2019t\nfor sissies\u2026 and being a single person during Covid and now living without my\nparents or my best friend\/neighbour I spend a great deal of time talking to\nmyself and my dog\u2026.as I age i\u2019m no longer worried about people thinking I\u2019m\nnuts\u2026I\u2019m just doing what makes me feel good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
