I had a plan<\/p>\n
I had it all figured out…<\/p>\n
I knew what I was going to do
\nI’d waited 3 years
\nand I’d be ready<\/p>\n
then life took over
\nI went off work
\non medical leave
\nran out of pay
\nthen out of medical insurance
\nthen out of savings
\nthen spent all
\nof my RRSP’s <\/p>\n
just to live
\nnot live frivolously
\nbut rent and groceries
\npay the day to day<\/p>\n
now I have no car
\nmy motorcycle doesn’t run<\/p>\n
no money coming in
\nat all…
\nno viable income
\nand nothing left in the bank<\/p>\n
and now
\nI finally have
\na surgery date<\/p>\n
I went back to work
\nin April
\nit lasted 19 days
\nand I was let go
\nbecause my brain
\ndoesn’t work the way
\nit used to<\/p>\n
but I still had a plan…<\/p>\n
I was going to
\nstart training
\nwith a personal trainer
\nlong before
\nI got here<\/p>\n
I was going to
\nsee a chiropractor
\nlong before
\nI got here<\/p>\n
I was going to be
\nin better shape
\nprior to surgery<\/p>\n
but
\nbeing broke
\nstops one from paying for things
\nlike personal trainers
\nand chiropractors
\nand even rent sometimes<\/p>\n
so
\nit is what it is<\/p>\n
I continue to walk
\nand I will
\nstill have surgery<\/p>\n
and I’ll take care
\nof the plan
\nwhen I can<\/p>\n
no more waiting
\nit’s soon to be here
