it\u2019s all about the memes
\nand no so much with the
\nsaying what you mean
\nand meaning what you say<\/p>\n
we don\u2019t talk personally anymore
\nwe grab a meme and pretend
\nit\u2019s what we mean<\/p>\n
so when someone
\ndoes post something
\nheartfelt
\nit comes across
\nincorrectly
\nor whether
\nthe person is interesting
\nand smart
\nand articulate
\nor not
\nwe gather
\non their posts
\nlike
\nvultures…<\/p>\n
when I first
\nstarted blogging
\nit wasn\u2019t about
\nmaking money
\nor a living
\nwith my smart mouth
\nand quick fingers<\/p>\n
it was about
\nsharing my thoughts
\nwith whomever wanted
\nto read them
\nbut mostly
\nit was about
\nkeeping myself
\nfrom losing my mind<\/p>\n
now days
\nmost of the \u201creal life\u201d bloggers
\nare gone
\nand people that blog
\nstrive to be trendy
\npretty
\nand make money
\neveryone thinks
\nit’s easy
\nbut it ain’t
\n…not so much
\nwith the deep
\ndiscussion worthy posts<\/p>\n
here\u2019s a couple of things
\nthat have happened
\nas a result
\nof social media
\nin my opinion<\/p>\n
people don\u2019t talk
\nthey make assumptions
\nrather than talk
\nand often they believe
\nthat their
\ninterpretation
\nis what you really meant<\/p>\n
friends assume
\nyou will be able to
\nunderstand their positions
\nby reading memes
\nor making your pictures
\npretty or goofy<\/p>\n
people don\u2019t have
\ndeep conversations
\nwithout making
\nan appointment
\nor a date for a meal<\/p>\n
I\u2019m just as
\nat fault as everyone else<\/p>\n
here\u2019s hoping

so I can talk

\nstrike me
