I wrote this a week ago but was unable to post as I was barely out of bed all week…<\/span><\/p>\n

When is the last time you felt positively giddy?<\/p>\n

I asked this question
\non my fb page today<\/p>\n

I was standing
\nin the shower
\nthis morning
\nlaughing
\nat myself…<\/p>\n

I’ve been happy
\nover the last year
\nbut rarely giddy<\/p>\n

I was happy to spend
\na lot of time
\nwith my dad
\nover the last year
\nof his life<\/p>\n

I was happy once
\nthe celebration
\nof his life was over
\ncos it meant
\nI could pigeon hole
\nthe pain\/grief
\nand try to move on<\/p>\n

I was happy to meet
\nwith my tribe in Georgia
\na couple weeks later<\/p>\n

I was happy to have
\na new job
\nin the same office
\nto avoid
\nsome of the stress
\nof starting over<\/p>\n

I was happy
\nthat my mother went into
\na good home
\nand that now she’s moved
\nback to my brother’s<\/p>\n

I was happy
\nthat Ro and Twitchy
\nwere finally able to get married<\/p>\n

I was happy
\nthat Scooter and Pam
\ndid too<\/p>\n

but seriously
\ngiddy
\nhappy?<\/p>\n

not for a long time<\/p>\n

not until a week ago that is<\/p>\n

I went up island
\nto visit
\nand was sick while
\nI was there
\nI came home on Remembrance Day<\/p>\n

didn’t relish the drive
\ncos I’d had the pukes
\nfor a couple of days<\/p>\n

as often happens
\nintuition and I
\nhad an argument in Chemainus
\nand intuition won
\nI’d been puking
\non and off
\nfor a couple of days
\nbut I’ve learned over time
\nthat intuition
\nis usually right….<\/p>\n

I stopped
\nat the Antique Barn<\/p>\n

I wandered through slowly
\nI’ve mentioned before
\nthat I’ve been collecting
\npieces of Belle Fiore china
\nsince I moved to BC
\n20 years ago.<\/p>\n

I hit pay dirt
\nI found this…
\non the third floor<\/p>\n

I was so excited
\nso absolutely giddy
\nthat I squealed
\nlike a child
\nloudly
\nwhich brought one of the
\nowners of the Barn
\nracing to me thinking
\nI’d possibly seen
\na rodent<\/p>\n

but no
\nI was holding the plates
\nand jumping up and down<\/p>\n

what a find<\/p>\n

I danced down the stairs
\nfrom the 3rd floor
\nwhile the owner carried
\nmuch of the load down for me
\nand I literally ran around in circles
\nwhile I waited for them to
\nbox the pieces up for me<\/p>\n

I paid
\nfor 25 pieces
\nwhat I’ve paid
\non occasion
\nfor 1.<\/p>\n

SCORE
\nI’m still a
\nlittle giddy
\nbut I’ve been sick all
\nweek
\nand unable to dance
\nor get outta bed<\/p>\n

so today
\nnow that I’m feeling
\nmuch better
\nI wanted to ask
\nall of you<\/p>\n
