my mind is void

\nand all that noise
\nthat’s been taking place

two weeks
\nof being cared for
\nwill do that to you<\/p>\n
I was thinking
\non my way home
\nfrom the airport
\nlast night
\nwhile basking
\nin the glow
\nof a full moon
\nthat I’m truly blessed
\nto have had the love
\nand support I’ve had
\nover the last few weeks<\/p>\n
I miss my dad
\nI think of him
\na hundred times
\na day<\/p>\n
but I’ve released
\nthe anguish
\nand seem to be able
\nto return to the simple<\/p>\n
he and I were good friends
\nand I’ll miss that in my life
\nI’ve started to call him
\na thousand times
\nto share a story<\/p>\n
