there’s a lot of people
\nin this world
\nthat aren’t happy
\nwith their lot in life
\nwith their station
\ntheir job
\ntheir lifestyle
\ntheir relationship
\nor
\ntheir loneliness<\/p>\n
nothing is good enough
\nso they are not happy<\/p>\n
me?
\nin spite of my health
\nand the life allowances
\nI’ve had to make for same<\/p>\n
I’m happy with my job
\nit’s just enough work
\nand we laugh a lot<\/p>\n
I’m happy with my car
\nI’ve got cruise control
\nan iPod hook up
\nand my phone connects
\nto the radio like magic<\/p>\n
I’m happy with my new place to live<\/p>\n
I see friends
\nwhen I want
\nand I hide out when I want<\/p>\n
today
\nas I was washing out
\na bunch of items
\nI want to display
\non the new built in
\nmy cousin installed for me
\nlast week<\/p>\n
it occurred to me
\nthat when I first planned
\nto move out here
\n16 er 17 years ago
\nI had a dream
\na vision if you will<\/p>\n
of what my life
\nwould look like
\nesthetically<\/p>\n
and it included
\na quiet but good sized home
\nsurrounded by big cedars
\nand greenery
\nmore than one bedroom
\nso I could have a guest
\nif I felt like inviting one
\nbig sunny windows
\nto hang my chimes and some plants in
\nwhite shelving to display
\nall my cobalt glass
\nand crystal and jugs
\nthat were my grandma’s<\/p>\n
and a small dog
\nfor the unconditional love
\nand the occasional laugh<\/p>\n
I’ve got all of that right now
\nso
