the new resident manager
\nis a kind generous lady
\nwith a big heart
\nher boss?

her boss served me
\nwith a letter
\ntelling me
\nthat I had 2 weeks
\nto change my household
\nto her standards
\nincluding
\ngetting rid of Pixie
\nand my dishwasher
\nand my trike<\/p>\n
I have collected
\ndocumentation
\nover the last 15 yrs
\nof living here
\nthat will show her
\nin plain
\nunadulterated
\nEnglish
\nthat all of her
\nso called “items”
\nare legal
\nand that I have never
\nhidden any of them<\/p>\n
but really?
\nwhy fight?<\/p>\n
my diseases
\nhave compromised me
\nto a point where
\neven the stress
\nof this fight
\ncould set me back<\/p>\n
so I talked to my brother
\nwho convinced me
\nthat it would be
\n100 times healthier
\nto move
\nand get away from
\nthe negativity
\nof having to fight
\nto stay in my own home<\/p>\n
once upon a time
\nthere was a real sense
\nof community here<\/p>\n
no more…
\nthe floods,
\nthe broken appliances
\nthat never got repaired
\nthe lack of consideration
\nfrom the other people livng here
\nthe changes that only benefit
\nthe company running the place
\nhave convinced me
\nthat the time has come<\/p>\n
so
\nthis is me
\nthrowing in the towel
\nand beginning the search
\nfor a new happy home<\/p>\n
