I’m a pretty open person
\nI wear my heart on my sleeve
\nI try always to do my best
\nI strive to be kind
\nI try more often than not to be nice<\/p>\n
I don’t succeed all the time
\nbut I sure do try<\/p>\n
being this type of a person
\nconstantly puts me in the position
\nto be taken advantage of
\nor to be used
\nor to be hurt
\nby mean spirited
\nself absorbed
\nconniving
\npeople<\/p>\n
I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea
\nbut even if you don’t agree with me
\nyou must needs be civil.<\/p>\n
most days I can handle it
\nwhen people aren’t<\/p>\n
today however?
\nnot so much<\/p>\n
my feels good
\ngot stomped on but good today
\nand as much as most of the people involved
\nsay it’s not me
\nand I don’t have to own it<\/p>\n
I tried really really hard
\nto not have this happen<\/p>\n
and still it did.<\/p>\n
I’d rather just not do it anymore.<\/p>\n
I’m weary
\ntired of everything being so hard
\ntired of trying so hard
\ntired of the backlash
\ntired of never coming out on top
