\namazes me
\nmore than running into an axe murderer

(and believe me when I say
\n“been there, done that”)<\/p>\n
how hard is please and thank you
\nand mean it?<\/p>\n
why is it so hard to offer courtesy
\nto strangers
\nlet alone acquaintances
\nor friends<\/p>\n
why does it continue to blow me away
\nwhen I hear\/see\/experience people
\nwithout the sense of compassion
\nto be kind?<\/p>\n
wtf is wrong with people?<\/p>\n
apparently kindness is a learned trait
\nit isn’t something
\nthat all people are
\nborn with<\/p>\n
and frankly
\nthat lack
\nspeaks volumnes
\nto humanity’s penchant for
\nnegativity<\/p>\n
if someone holds a door open for you
\ntake a second
\nand say thanks<\/p>\n
if you have good service
\nin a restaraunt, pub, customer desk
\nsay thanks<\/p>\n
if you work next to someone
\nall day long
\nhave the courtesy to say hello
\nor try a couple
\nof bland pleasantries
\nover the course of the day…<\/p>\n
it’s pretty simple
\nbeing kind
\nwhy then am I constantly
\nfarklempt
\nby people’s lack
