today is a nice fall day
\nthere\u2019s lots of clouds
\nhowever, they are high so
\nthere\u2019s not much chance of rain<\/p>\n
I\u2019m torn between
\ndoing some much needed housework
\nwatching movies
\nor curling up with a book
\ncos the lords knows
\nI won\u2019t do all 3<\/p>\n
and no\u2026
\nyou don\u2019t get a vote fadder
\nLoL<\/p>\n
for some reason I woke up
\nwith a memory of an obscure song
\nfrom the 70\u2019s
\nstuck in my head<\/p>\n
I remember having
\none of those new fangled
\ncassette tape recorder machines
\nin the house<\/p>\n
my father used it to dictate
\nspeeches for his association meetings
\nand I taped music from the radio
\nor tv
\nto listen to<\/p>\n
somehow I ended up
\nwith a full Rod McKuen tape
\nCalled “The Seasons: The San Sebastian Strings”<\/p>\n
Rod McKuen was
\na pretty big deal
\nin the 70’s
\nthe “revolution” years<\/p>\n
he was to the USA
\nwhat Leonard Cohen was to Canada<\/p>\n
and my mother
\nthought I was quite
\nthe up and coming
\nyoung adult
\nbecause I was listening
\nto McKuen and Cohen
\nand reading
\ntheir books
\nof poety etc<\/p>\n
turns out
\nwhat I was reading
\nwas pretty much romantic porn
\nand therein lies
\nmy penchant for romance<\/p>\n
anyway,
\nthis morning
\nI woke up
\nwith “Fall”
\nplaying in my head<\/p>\n
I’ve been all over
\nthe interwebs
\nand I can’t seem to find
\na copy
\nanywhere
\nso I’m going to have to
\nbuy it somewhere
\nmethinks<\/p>\n
I can’t even find it
\nin the iTunes store
\nand the Amazon copy
\nis gonna cost me
\n50 bucks<\/p>\n
hell of a price to pay
\nto get a song outta
\nmy head<\/p>\n
