I’m a little sad today
\nto think that the end of my
\nforced holiday
\nis coming to a close<\/p>\n
don’t get me wrong
\nI’m excited about
\nwhat the future will bring
\nstarting my new job on Monday<\/p>\n
but this has been
\na long
\ntough
\nemotionally
\nand physically
\nyear for me so far
\nand I’ve been taking stock<\/p>\n
an acquaintance of mine
\nis dieing of cancer
\nhorribly<\/p>\n
he’s fought a good long fight
\nand I would suspect he’s tired
\nbut is desperate to stay
\nfor his family
\nis anyone ever really ready to leave?<\/p>\n
I went through my FB friends today
\nand counted 17 people
\nthat have passed away
\nsince I started my account
\nI can’t bring myself to delete them
\nand most of them
\nI go visit every once in a while
\nto remember…<\/p>\n
a friend said
\nshe was unsure of what to say
\nto the friend that’s dieing
\nI said to tell him
\nthat he was a good friend
\nand he made a difference
\nthat’s what we all want to believe eh?<\/p>\n
