Pixie had scratched her ear till it bled and for a little dog there was quite the freakin mess (freakin being the operative word\u2026the last time a dog bled on my kitchen floor was the day I had to have Coco put down)<\/p>\n
So off to the vet we went again\u2026It\u2019s definitely an allergy and the vet says most commonly a protein like table scraps or new treats of food\u2026the vet says she\u2019s not to have any animal meat or legumes or garlic or avocado or onions or chocolate\u2026cos any of those can really mess her up (some like garlic, chocolate or onions can kill her)\u2026she can only have her regular kibble, her regular dental treats and her regular peanut butter treat\u2026she can continue to have celery, lettuce or carrot.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m thanking goodness it ain\u2019t house dust she\u2019s allergic to cos then we\u2019d both be screwed eh?<\/p>\n
So\u2026during my 8 weeks off on medical leave\u2026during the last 5 weeks I\u2019ve spent $420.00 on Pixie (gawd bless Visa is all I\u2019m saying\u2026) she’s had a cortisone shot today and has to wear a lampshade for about a week…and oatmeal bath etc etc\u2026.poor baby…the vet also says she\u2019s never seen a dog\u2019s ear flop like hers at 18 mths so we\u2019re all hoping they will come back once she\u2019s had some itch relief\u2026<\/p>\n
