2010 included a couple of huge
\nlearning curves for me<\/strong><\/p>\n

today being the 30th
\nI’m a little reflective…<\/strong><\/p>\n

and a lot bored
\ncourse that’s ok
\ncos I’ve been off since the 17th
\nso it took 13 days for me to run outta steam<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m still at my father’s
\nhave spent a fair amount of time
\njust sitting on my butt readin
\nthe 11 library books I brought with<\/strong><\/p>\n

the 13 days have not been without
\nfamily anxiety
\nbut judging from what I see around me
\nfamily anxiety
\nis part of the package<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’ve posted some reflective questions
\non FB
\nand got some interesting answers
\nand found that there are
\njust as many people
\nlooking forward to the end of 2010
\nas there are looking forward to
\nthe beginning of 2011<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m feeling pretty good just now
\nI’m relaxed enough
\nthat I literally haven’t
\nthought about work
\nuntil the middle of the night
\nlast night that is
\nwhen I was laying in bed
\nwondering wth?
\nwas up with the furnace in the trailer
\nI began to think about what next week will bring
\nin terms of work to do<\/strong><\/p>\n

I find I’m looking forward to 2011
\nand whatever positive changes
\ncome my way<\/strong><\/p>\n

there’s a possibility
\nof me being patched
\ninto a club
\nthat I hold near and dear to my heart
\njust as there’s a possibility of
\ngetting back on the road on the Pickle
\nmaybe the Dr will release my peepers
\nfor riding?<\/strong><\/p>\n

seeing old friends
\nmaking new ones<\/strong><\/p>\n

understanding
\nthat I can only effect change on myself
\nand that I have stopped lowering my standards
\nout of misplaced generosity of spirit<\/strong><\/p>\n

as my friend Louie so aptly put it:
\n“I learned to let people go
\nand to spend my leisure time
\nwith people who are deserving of it”<\/strong><\/p>\n

and as my wise friend DD says:
\n“friends are people WE pick…
\nthey all enter our lives for a purpose
\nand length of time,
\nsome short and some long.
\nNo matter what reason they are
\nthere they are a gift to teach you something.
\nSome are just to teach you
\nthat you ARE all that and apple pie
\nand can make positive choices
\nand sometimes that means loving,
\nblessing them and walking around them.
\nTo do this most often
\nmeans putting our big girl panties
\non and feeling the fear and doing it anyways.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

both very wise women
\nand both ladies who’s wise counsel
\nI will take with me
\nas I move into 2011<\/strong><\/p>\n
