I had a really crappy work week
\nwhat I really really needed
\nwas a quiet weekend
\nwith no pressure
\nyet
\nfor some reason
\nI still don’t understand
\nI got this wild hair…<\/p>\n
and decided to upgrade my computer
\nfrom Windows XP to Windows 7
\nEveryone I know has been raving about 7 so…<\/p>\n
here I am 2 days later…
\nwhimpering and sucking my thumb.<\/p>\n
the uploader
\nwouldn’t let me lay the upgrade over my files
\nso I had to customize the format
\nand as a result have been fighting with it
\nall day Saturday
\nand all day today<\/p>\n
I’d moved all my files
\nto an external before starting
\nso the only thing that was left
\non my hardrive was the XP files<\/p>\n
…it was damn near empty
\nyet
\nfor some reason…
\nthe upload completely filled my hard drive<\/p>\n
and I’m unable to unpack any of my files
\ncos there’s no space left<\/p>\n
while I haven’t lost any files
\n(that I’ve yet to see)
\nI can’t get the damn thing
\nto do almost anything I tell it<\/p>\n
I am however moving well past the
\n“I’m gonna shoot this thing with the shotgun”
\nthrough the
\n“I’m gonna hit thing thing with a hammer”
\nthrough the
\n“I got a bucket of water with your name on it”
\nand well into
\n“if you are looking for me….
\nI’ll be in the corner sucking my thumb”<\/p>\n
