sometimes you just really need to get a picture\u2026.<\/p>\n

Last night I posted on my Facebook
\nthat I felt that I was in need of
\nsome adult supervision<\/p>\n

cos I’d just burnt supper twice
\nI was attempting to fry some eggs
\nand both times burnt them…
\nit’s a damn good thing they come
\nin packages of 12 no?<\/p>\n

so here’s the rest of the story….<\/p>\n

when I got home from worklast night
\nI discovered that Mz Pix,
\nwho is locked in the kitchen
\nall day while I’m away,
\nhad somehow,
\nonce again
\npushed the garbage can
\noff of the little
\nrubber maid step stool
\nthat it sits on
\nonto the floor
\n\u2026and spread garbage everywhere.<\/p>\n

I climbed over the gate
\nand pulled on the rubber gloves
\nand started scraping things back
\ninto the can\u2026
\nwhich lay on its side on the floor,
\nall the while
\nhaving this full blown
\ndiscourse with the dog
\nabout how she knows better
\nand she\u2019s smarter than that,
\nand was she playing
\nor trying to get my attention<\/p>\n

\u2026ending with \u201cif the Fadder
\ncould hear me now
\nhe\u2019d figure
\nI was off my rocker
\nbecause he says all women
\ntalk to their dogs
\nlike they do kids
\nand that makes us all nuts
\nin his books\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

so….the phone rang in the living room
\nI jumped the gate
\nand answered it\u2026
\nwhen I was done I went back into the kitchen,
\nopening the gate this time\u2026
\ngrabbed the can
\nsnapped the lid back on
\nand put it back on the stool.<\/p>\n

5 min later
\nI burnt the first set of eggs
\nI spoke about last night.<\/p>\n

I decided to sit at my desk
\nand check my email\u2026
\nand in doing so I hear
\na little squeak\u2026
\nbut I can\u2019t find the dog<\/p>\n

I check the bedroom,
\nthe bathroom,
\nthe closet,
\nunder the comforter on the couch\u2026
\neven the yard\u2026
\nno dog<\/p>\n

I went back into the kitchen
\nto put on another set of eggs\u2026
\nbecause I figured she was in her crate
\nand cowering
\nfrom the lecture she\u2019d received
\nand I hear the squeak again.<\/p>\n

You got it….
\nPixie\u2019s locked in the garbage can!<\/p>\n

I flip open the top
\nand she\u2019s very happy to see me
\n(what a picture that would have made)
\nhowever,
\nonce I got her out of the garbage
\nshe spent the rest of the evening
\nsitting between me and the tv
\ngiving me the stink eye over her shoulder.<\/p>\n

\u2026and I burnt the eggs again<\/p>\n

This dog
\nhas a skull the size of a peach pit
\nand apparently
\nit holds more smarts than mine.<\/p>\n
