even if you are only moving a blog<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’ve had my blog a long time
\nand the reason
\nI\u2019m trying to move
\nis cos the changes that Blogger made
\nthat cause the first couple of years
\nof my blog to disappear<\/strong><\/p>\n

so I decided to go to word press
\nand to have my own url <\/a>
\nand like the other blogs to this one
\nusing it as my home page<\/strong><\/p>\n

lord tundering
\nthis has been a lesson in patience for me<\/strong><\/p>\n

first I have to find a theme
\nthat\u2019s \u201cwhat it looks like\u201d
\nI have a vision
\nsadly
\nnone of the theme builders
\nhave the same one
\nso
\nyou get it as close as you can
\nand then you start
\nfutzin with code<\/strong><\/p>\n

in the case of Word Press
\nit\u2019s ccs code
\nwhich while close to html
\nain\u2019t
\nif ya get my drift<\/strong><\/p>\n

then you have to move over
\nor import your posts from blogger
\nvery easy
\nthey both have import and export tools<\/strong><\/p>\n

however
\nthe new one doesn\u2019t have some things
\nthat the old one did
\nand vice versa<\/strong><\/p>\n

so I\u2019m improvising<\/strong><\/p>\n

somehow in the import
\nI ended up with 2
\nsometimes 3 of each post
\nso I got the brilliant idea
\nof deleting them all
\nand re-importing
\nand I did
\nbut it wouldn\u2019t
\nre-import
\nso I had to go rescue the posts
\nby the page
\nfrom the trash
\nand in doing so
\nended up with 3
\nsometimes 4
\nof the same posts<\/strong><\/p>\n

then there\u2019s the whole font thing
\nI want to be able to change my font
\nfrom post to post
\nwith the default being tempus sans itc<\/strong><\/p>\n

I want to change the size of the font
\nand the color<\/strong><\/p>\n

you can in blogger
\nyou can\u2019t in WP
\nand as a result when I imported the posts
\nthe came in several different sizes and colors<\/strong><\/p>\n

and I’ve just discovered that there’s no way
\nto manage the spacing in posts
\nin WP
\nand in order to get this post in here
\nI had to paste it into notepad…
\nsheesh<\/strong><\/p>\n

I wonder if it’s my theme?
\npart of my theme problem
\nis the way I write
\nmost WP themes cause
\nmy syntax to change to paragraphs
\nand that’s a pain in the ass…
\ncos it makes all my posts
\none long freakin sentence<\/strong><\/p>\n

and then there\u2019s the links
\nI have to move them manually
\nI\u2019m of the slow n steady persuasion
\nbut I\u2019ll get it done\u2026
\nI\u2019m feeling better about the move all the time
\nbut it\u2019s slow work
\nand in the meantime
\nI\u2019m running 2 copies of 3 of my blogs
\nand the fourth is only in WP<\/strong><\/p>\n

yup…moving is hell
\nno matter if it’s physically
