I realized <\/span>
while wandering through<\/span>
the some 140 blogs <\/span>
and different industry news feeds<\/span>
that I peruse daily<\/span>
and the resultant links<\/span>
that I come across….<\/span><\/p>\n

that there’s a lot of people<\/span>
that are really engaged<\/span>
in their lives…<\/span><\/p>\n

really excited <\/span>
about their topics…<\/span><\/p>\n

really invested <\/span>
in what they are doing….<\/span><\/p>\n

I don’t seem to be <\/span>
at the moment.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m coasting.<\/span><\/p>\n

maybe it’s the aftermath<\/span>
of the blister’s visit,<\/span>
and all the resultant drama<\/span>
(none of which landed on me <\/span>
this time I am happy to say)<\/span><\/p>\n

maybe it’s the result of<\/span>
seeing the light <\/span>
at the end of the tunnel<\/span>
debt wise…<\/span><\/p>\n

or maybe it’s that it’s the portion <\/span>
of my job’s yearly cycle <\/span>
where we start to wind down…<\/span><\/p>\n

or maybe it’s me feeling my age<\/span>
and my shock over the very idea<\/span>
that I’ll be 55 in July<\/span>
and here in BC that will qualify me<\/span>
for “adult” housing…<\/p>\n

coupled with the number of deaths
that have affected my soul
in one manner or another
since the New Year…
<\/span>
or my health – er lack thereof…<\/span><\/p>\n

yet still the Dr’s seem to be getting <\/span>
things sorted slowly but surely <\/span>
except for my eyes <\/span>
and that’s a work in progress too<\/p>\n

and it’s not like I can stop death anyway
I am a realist
<\/span>
or maybe it’s the cacophony <\/span>
of noise white, dark or otherwise<\/span>
that grips my life<\/span>
continually…
cos really?
<\/span>there is no quiet in my life<\/span>
when I live in a building <\/span>
with paper thin walls<\/span>
and neighbours with xbox
and surround sound…
<\/span>
or maybe it’s just that I’m <\/span>
worn out<\/span>
tired <\/span>
right <\/span>
to <\/span>
my <\/span>
core.<\/span><\/p>\n

I feel like I’m coasting…<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m not writing often<\/span>
I’m not reading much<\/span>
I’m not doing housework<\/span>
I’m not watchin marathon amounts of tv<\/span>
I pretty much vegging<\/span>
and not doing much<\/span>
but playing with the puppy<\/span>
and resting…<\/span><\/p>\n
