I just had a harrowing experience<\/span><\/p>\n

when I had Pixie at the Vet 2 weeks ago
they gave me follow up meds
to give her today<\/span>
little we syringe with about 1\/4 cc of goop in it<\/span><\/p>\n

so I get the girl<\/span>
settle in on the couch<\/span>
and try to hold her head to put the syringe in her mouth<\/span><\/p>\n

she went stark raving mad<\/span><\/p>\n

she screamed<\/span>
she bit me<\/span>
she clawed at me<\/span>
I thought her little heart was gonna explode<\/span>
and I never have heard <\/span>
screaming like that in my life<\/span>
like a baby only really really high pitched<\/span>
ear piercing…<\/span><\/p>\n

I let go of her head <\/span>
and she was stopped screaming<\/span>
but spent a great deal of time <\/span>
trying to escape from me<\/span>
the term greased piglet <\/span>
doesn’t quite cut it…<\/span><\/p>\n

I tried again <\/span>
about 20 min later<\/span>
exact same thing<\/span>
precisely the same response<\/span>
even more frenzied if possible…<\/span><\/p>\n

so I cuddled her for about half an hour<\/span>
and then got the little syringe <\/span>
and began to play with her with the syringe<\/span>
and finally she put the tip in her mouth to chew it <\/span>
(she is teething after all)<\/span>
and I hit the hammer and she swallowed<\/span><\/p>\n

she stopped dead<\/span>
and glared at me<\/span>
and then climbed under the comforter on the couch <\/span>
and ignored me for about an half hour<\/span><\/p>\n

I am apparently forgiven now<\/span><\/p>\n

I hope this little dog never gets sick<\/span>
