that brings people to your blog<\/span>
to read?<\/span><\/p>\n

did you ever wonder what it was<\/span>
that you could say or do<\/span>
that would attract others?<\/span><\/p>\n

I have <\/span>
over the course of the time<\/span>
I’ve had this blog<\/span>
written about personal feelings<\/span>
occurrences and events in my life<\/span><\/p>\n

and a rather lengthy story<\/span>
based on my personal experiences<\/span>
in my misspent youth <\/span>
(yes…I know…it’s yet to be finished<\/span>
…what? am I outta time er sommat???<\/span>
LoL)<\/span><\/p>\n

In August of 2005<\/span>
a friend of mine passed away<\/span>
in a motorcycle accident<\/span><\/p>\n

it was devastating for me personally<\/span>
and for my then <\/span>
rather large group of friends<\/span><\/p>\n

I wrote an <\/span>eulogy<\/a> for him<\/span>
that I read <\/span>
and almost got completely through<\/span>
at his service<\/span><\/p>\n

a few people that could afford to<\/span>
got honorarium tattoos<\/span>
and those of us <\/span>
who couldn’t afford to get inked <\/span>
chose to do some fund raising <\/span>
for his widow and children<\/span><\/p>\n

the following year<\/span>
going into riding season <\/span>
we had a memorial ride…
(always held at a
close friend’s home)
<\/span>and at that time<\/span>
I also penned a “<\/span>Toast to Absent Friends<\/a>“<\/span><\/p>\n

it has always been a tradition in my<\/span>
own family to toast absent friends<\/span>
and I expounded upon the original<\/span>
familial “here’s to absent friends”<\/span>
and posted the toast here<\/span>
in May of 2006<\/span><\/p>\n

to date <\/span>
more than 35%<\/span>
of the close to 30, 000 visits <\/span>
to this blog<\/span>
that I have tracked <\/span>
since Nov of 06<\/span>
have been people searching<\/span>
for a Toast to Absent Friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m honoured.<\/p>\n

<\/span>I guess that means
that the other 65%
of the people tracked
are those of you
that swear categorically
that you don’t read
save the 6-10 of you that
actually admit to reading
regularly….HA!<\/p>\n

Yah,…all you people
