well – not really<\/span>
but sometimes I wonder<\/span><\/p>\n

a mth ago<\/span>
the last time I went to the fadder’s <\/span>
I decided to go back up to Fanny Bay<\/span>
for the long weekend<\/span><\/p>\n

I was delighted when my boss<\/span>
decided I could take Friday as a holiday day<\/span>
thereby making it a 4 day long weekend!<\/span><\/p>\n

so at that time I suggested to the VOD<\/span>
that she should come too <\/span>
and visit with the bother again<\/span><\/p>\n

and since that time<\/span>
we have spoken at least once a day on the subject<\/span>
and she has changed her mind<\/span>
literally<\/span>
daily <\/span>
if not <\/span>
twice a day<\/span><\/p>\n

so finally I pin her down yesterday<\/span>
and she says that the bother isn’t gonna be home<\/span>
for the weekend<\/span>
and I should go on my own<\/span><\/p>\n

I call the bother and he confirms <\/span>
that he likely won’t be home<\/span><\/p>\n

this is ok!<\/span>
this means I can leave right from work<\/span><\/p>\n

so I have to pack my car up in the morning <\/span>
to avoid the 1\/2 hr drive back home <\/span>
to pick up gear <\/span>
at the end of the day<\/span>
no big<\/span>
but requires some organization<\/span><\/p>\n

so all day long today<\/span>
I’m making lists in my head<\/span>
lists to go along with the work ones<\/span>
cos our big seasonal launch happens<\/span>
in part tomorrow<\/span>
and in part on the 11th<\/span><\/p>\n

but also<\/span>
cos the PTB have decided <\/span>
to paint our office<\/span>
so we have to have everything<\/span>
boxed up to be moved <\/span>
by the end of my shift tomorrow<\/span><\/p>\n

and when I come back <\/span>
I’ll be working out of an empty office<\/span>
elsewhere on our floor for a couple of days<\/span>
while the painting is completed<\/span><\/p>\n

anyhooo<\/span>
I’m driving home from work tonight<\/span>
once more going over the list in my head<\/span>
for taking away for the weekend<\/span>
and my cell phone rings<\/span><\/p>\n

guess who?<\/span><\/p>\n

apparently the bother was here for half the day<\/span>
and has now talked her into<\/span>
going up for the weekend with me<\/span>
but he’s only going to be home on Fri and Sat<\/span>
and then he’s coming down here<\/span>
cos the nefew is moving back<\/span>
to attend his 2nd year of U<\/span><\/p>\n

so on Sunday he’ll be driving down with the kid<\/span>
and now she doesn’t know if she should make <\/span>
me drive all the way home to pick her up<\/span>
for just 2 days<\/span><\/p>\n

gak!<\/span>
I suggest she can come back down with him on Sat<\/span>
and she’s all concerned about how hard it will be on him<\/span>
hell – he does that to see his latest girlfriend!<\/span><\/p>\n

I guess a 3 hour drive<\/span>
seems like a tough haul when yer 80<\/span>
sheesh!
I don’t see it getting any easier tho…<\/p>\n
