I’m <\/span>soo very fucking tired<\/span>
of <\/span>fuckered eyeballs<\/p>\n

do ya feel me?

got home from holidays on Tues<\/span>
trip was a gas…<\/span>
laughed and laughed and laughed some more<\/span><\/p>\n

woke up Wed with full on eyeball flare<\/span>
my left this time…(2 weeks ago it was the right)<\/span>
spent Wed and Thurs in bed<\/span>
can’t read<\/span>
can’t watch <\/span>tv
can’t see the <\/span>puter
can’t sleep
can’t stand light of any kind
<\/span>bored outta my <\/span>flamin skull
good thing I can touch type eh?<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>I got home to 167 emails
and 221 blog posts to read
(in spite of the stuff I read
while at Arlene’s)
and I’m sadly sitting here
watching the numbers climb
cos I can’t focus enough
to read em<\/span><\/span>
the fine print just don’t work for me
right now<\/span>

my bother came down from his place up Island<\/span>
on Thurs
to pick up the <\/span>VOD and take her along with <\/span>
for a while<\/span>
he forced me to go to ER again…<\/span><\/p>\n

ER Dr I saw Thurs and Fri<\/span>
said the more times I have to come to ER<\/span>
the more chance that the specialist<\/span>
will understand how this is affecting my life<\/span>
he also said that if I go 2 days<\/span>
with no respite to go to ER<\/span>
to make sure there’s not<\/span>
something in my eye…<\/span>
cos I basically can’t tell the difference<\/span><\/p>\n

I asked if I could have<\/span>
some of that eyeball freezing drug<\/span>
for home<\/span>
he said no<\/span>
fucker <\/span>LoL<\/p>\n

they’re substantially better today<\/span>
but still not right<\/span><\/p>\n

and I’m <\/span>sooo frustrated<\/span>
hence all the swearing<\/span>
cos I ain’t in a good mood<\/span>
I’m trying<\/span>
but it’s not pretty over here<\/span><\/p>\n

I want to ride<\/span>
I want to be able to spend my spare time<\/span>
writing<\/span>
I want to have a <\/span>freakin life<\/span>
is that too much to ask?<\/span>
apparently.<\/span><\/p>\n

*sigh*<\/span><\/p>\n

and then there’s the ole<\/span>
asshole <\/span>attractor
I got up this morn<\/span>
and went into town<\/span>
to do some running around<\/span>
before it got too much hotter<\/span>
got to the mall I wanted<\/span>
it’s already 22 degrees C<\/span>
and there<\/span>
sitting in the sun<\/span>
is a car<\/span>
with the windows all closed up<\/span>
and 2 small dogs in it<\/span><\/p>\n

did I mention I ain’t in a good mood?<\/span><\/p>\n

I tried the doors and they were locked<\/span>
so I called the SPCA<\/span>
the truck comes<\/span>
and just as they are about to smash a window<\/span>
cos the dogs are obviously in distress<\/span>
out from the mall comes this shrieking fishwife<\/span>
calling me names and shit<\/span><\/p>\n

did I mention I ain’t in a good mood?<\/span><\/p>\n

I started out by quietly asking her if she’d<\/span>
been dropped on her head as a child<\/span>
cos if not…I’d be more than happy<\/span>
to drop her on her head as an adult<\/span><\/p>\n

things progressed slightly down hill from there<\/span>
but I figure it’s flat out impossible<\/span>
to out cuss me<\/span>
when I’ve got a full cranky on<\/span>
and a good head of steam<\/span>
she eventually shut up<\/span><\/p>\n

I did feel a little better on my way home.<\/span><\/p>\n

still<\/span>
there has to be something the specialist can do<\/span>
about the peepers<\/span>
sometime soon<\/p>\n

so…the big question is
does anyone else find it hugely ironic
that I spent 25 years of my life
working for the Foundation Fighting Blindness Canada<\/a>
in the form of a volunteer, then Coordinator, then Provincial Chair
of the Ride for Sight<\/a>?<\/p>\n

just asking….
