I’m just not meant to ride this year<\/span><\/p>\n

so this evening <\/span>
I finally <\/span>
for the first time this season<\/span>
thought I’d go out and fire up the Pickle<\/span>
and see what I need to do<\/span><\/p>\n

I mean<\/span>
I’m feeling better<\/span>
and I really should clean my house<\/span>
cos it kinda looks like the crazy cat lady lives here<\/span>
but without the cats<\/p>\n

<\/span>still…if I feel good enough to clean<\/span>
I’d like to kick over the old Pickle<\/span><\/p>\n

I go out to the yard<\/span>
and peel the old trike cover off<\/span>
it’s seen better days <\/span>
and I’ll likely have to replace it soon<\/span><\/p>\n

I dust off the seat<\/span>
and scare off a couple of moths<\/p>\n

she needs her pipes painted again
and the trim that tried to knock Georgie
offa his bike on the Kelowna connector
last summer
glued back on
and likely having both tail lights working
and a speedo wouldn’t hurt…
but still<\/p>\n

I climb on….
<\/span>
I plug in the key<\/span>
depress the clutch<\/span>
and turn<\/span><\/p>\n

nothing<\/span><\/p>\n

battery is dead<\/span>
but it’s a car battery<\/span>
and I can boost it<\/span>
cos I have cables<\/span>
well…actually I have 2 sets of cables<\/span><\/p>\n

off on a cable hunt I go
much fussing
and muttering ensues
and I come <\/span>to find out<\/span>
that when the VOD gave the VODmobile
to the nefew<\/span>
she gave him – not one<\/span>
but 2 sets of cables.<\/span><\/p>\n

*hand\/forehead*<\/span>
then<\/span>
*head\/handlebars*<\/span><\/p>\n

I put the cover back on <\/span>
and come back into the house.<\/span><\/p>\n

if I still feel good after work tomorrow<\/span>
I’ll stop and pick up some cables<\/span>
and see if I can boost it<\/span><\/p>\n

who knows<\/span>
I might get a ride around the parking lot<\/span>
