I’ve spent most of my life reading<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve been sick <\/span>
in one manner or another<\/span>
since the day I was born<\/span>
so I’ve learned to while away the hours<\/span>
by reading <\/span><\/p>\n

I read all kinds of <\/span>urban fantasy<\/a> mostly<\/span>
it contains all the best of fantasy, <\/span>
romance, science fiction<\/span>
historical fiction and mystery <\/span>
that I need to keep me interested…<\/span><\/p>\n

but lemme tell ya the problem<\/span>
I’ve developed with that<\/span><\/p>\n

the problem is..<\/span>
that unless you have an urban fantasy reader<\/span>
at your local library <\/span>
who gets a voice in the kind of books they order<\/span>
at said library<\/span>
you spend a whole lotta time<\/span>
looking for books by specific authors<\/span>
and trying to convince someone to buy them<\/span>
for the library<\/span><\/p>\n

cos the other thing about urban fantasy<\/span>
is that they are often written in series format<\/span>
which means ya really ought to read #1<\/span>
before you read # 9<\/span><\/p>\n

capish?<\/span><\/p>\n

the library rocks….<\/span>
with all due respects to all those fantastic<\/span>
writers that I enjoy reading so much<\/span>
really…if I had to purchase all the books that <\/span>
I read<\/span>
I’d be livin on the streets…<\/span>
prolly wouldn’t hurt my waistline<\/span>
but I don’t like sleeping on the ground….<\/span><\/p>\n

I also read blogs <\/span>
my blog reading is responsible and responsive <\/span>
to my urban fantasy tastes <\/span>
in that <\/span>
seems that every urban fantasy writer in the world<\/span>
lives in the Pacific North West <\/span>
and has their own blog<\/span><\/p>\n

I just checked my library record…<\/span>
and in 2008<\/span>
I read 162 books from there…<\/span><\/p>\n

that and kept down a full time job
that at least twice a year swells to
12 hour days for a at least
a month at a time
posted on all the freakin forums I belong to
the 3 blogs I write as often as I can
and increased I’ve my blog readin to the point
that I now use a reader to manage them<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

due to the weather…<\/span>
I ended up with close to 3 weeks of<\/span>
over the holiday season<\/span>
without one freakin book to read<\/span><\/p>\n

in the middle of January<\/span>
the library<\/span>
delivered 12<\/span>
in the same week<\/span><\/p>\n

seriously<\/span>
all my holds came home to roost<\/span>
in the same week<\/span><\/p>\n

I need to be twins<\/span><\/p>\n
