say it’s immoral<\/span>
or unethical<\/span>
or say it interferes with your marriage<\/span>
or your life<\/span>
or your family<\/span><\/p>\n

all your friends…close or not<\/span>
come outta the woodwork<\/span>
to support you<\/span><\/p>\n

everyone gives voice to the fact<\/span>
that you have been hurt<\/span>
that what this person did <\/span>
was immoral<\/span>
or unethical<\/span>
or interfered with your marriage<\/span>
your life<\/span>
your family<\/span>
or all of the above…<\/span><\/p>\n

so then how is it that the very same friends<\/span>
can publicly continue friendships <\/span>
with the very person<\/span>
they told you they believed was unethical or immoral?<\/span><\/p>\n

how has it happened<\/span>
in our politically correct society <\/span>
that we have become a race of people<\/span>
that spend all their time <\/span>
professing to turn the other cheek?<\/span><\/p>\n

No one confronts anything head on<\/span>
nothing is dealt with <\/span>
every subject is skirted over some <\/span>
absurd fear of getting or being involved.<\/span><\/p>\n

is it because they are<\/span>
afraid of conflict?<\/span>
afraid to speak <\/span>
the truth in the face <\/span>
of the wrongdoer<\/span>
the transgressor?<\/span><\/p>\n

Has becoming a society of <\/span>
politically correct yet oh so polite drones<\/span>
made us all become two faced<\/span>
and seemingly unable to separate <\/span>
the wheat from the chaff?<\/span>
the good from the bad?<\/span>
the right from the wrong?<\/span>
<\/span>
I’m not saying<\/span>
that everyone should dislike someone <\/span>
cos I do<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m saying <\/span>
if someone whores around with my husband<\/span>
they have broke a covenant<\/span>
and for people to continually parade that person under<\/span>
my nose<\/span>
is no less hurtful than the person <\/span>
that did the dirty in the first place<\/span><\/p>\n

if someone <\/span>
breaks my heart<\/span>
intentionally…<\/span>
be it a friend or lover<\/span>
if someone goes beyond the bounds of friendship<\/span>
and harms me or my family<\/span>
your outwardly and publicly<\/span>
appearing to be friends with them<\/span>
(even when you tell me to my face that you ain’t)<\/span>
causes you to lose credibility <\/span><\/p>\n

should you, as my friend<\/span>
tell me that you disagree vehemently <\/span>
with that person’s moral standards<\/span>
(or lack thereof)<\/span>
how can you expect me <\/span>
to trust you<\/span>
or believe you<\/span>
if you continue to be ok <\/span>
with that person in public?<\/span><\/p>\n

I don’t for a minute suggest that we should be<\/span>
tattooing a red letter on the transgressor<\/span>
or that all people need to not be friendly <\/span>
with someone that has done me wrong<\/span><\/p>\n

what I believe is that you should be moral on your own<\/span>
and say to my face that while what the transgressor has done to me<\/span>
is wrong in your opinion<\/span>
you feel that as an unaffected bystander you will remain friends with them<\/span><\/p>\n

at least that’s honest<\/span><\/p>\n

STOP LYING TO ME COS YOU THINK I NEED TO HEAR IT<\/span>
and stop trying to fix what you can’t<\/span>
no one can fix it once it’s broken<\/span>
trust is earned…over time<\/span>
it sure as hell ain’t a given.
and don’t be surprised
when I tell you that you too have hurt my feelings

Personally, I do think that it’s a smack in the face<\/span>
of the person you are professing to support<\/span>
when you publicly associate with<\/span>
the very cause of all my distress….<\/span><\/p>\n

Seriously, I think I’m returning to the old ways<\/span>
I think I’m believing in an eye for an eye<\/span>
more and more all the time….<\/span><\/p>\n

and one more thing….<\/span>
if you think for a second<\/span>
that you are so special<\/span>
or such a good person<\/span>
or such a good friend<\/span>
that said transgressor will never<\/span>
treat you immorally, unethically<\/span>
or say interfer with your marriage<\/span>
your life<\/span>
your family<\/span><\/p>\n

you are mistaken<\/span>
because <\/span>
truly<\/span>
to <\/span>
them…<\/span>
you are a pushover!<\/span>
We all are.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m tired of being nice<\/span>
I’m tired of being polite<\/span>
and I’m tired of being fair<\/p>\n

<\/span>I’m tired of trying to work things out<\/span>
for the benefit of the all<\/span><\/p>\n

Fuck the “All”<\/span>
