\u201cUhmmm hi!\u2026.\u201d I stuttered, \u201cI…I\u2019m Baby\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNot really?\u201d she replied as she held out her hand beckoning me forward into the room. \u201cCome into the den so I can better see you little one.\u201d<\/p>\n

As we filed into the den I felt myself sort of pushed forward and glanced behind me to see all three of the people I was with trying to make themselves look smaller\u2026no small feat for 3 people over 6 ft, but then it was no surprise they were all so large considering the size of the woman in front of me.<\/p>\n

Once she hand me by the hand she leaned down towards me and said with great patience\u2026\u201dI asked you your name child\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n

I sighed at the slight lilt to her words. I swear to god I heard harps. I shook my head.<\/p>\n

\u201cm m my name? uhhhmmmm\u2026..K\u2026.K\u2026..Karen\u201d I mumbled out giving my real first name for the fist time since I\u2019d arrived in Minnesota.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy name is Karen\u201d I repeated with conviction when she raised an eyebrow towards me. Just like I knew what I was talking about.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd how did you come to my home?\u201d the lady asked<\/p>\n

\u201cinna truck\u201d was my reply immediately followed by a quick mental smacking of myself on the forehead \u201cwhat are ya? new? Inna truck? What kinda answer is that?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know what I meant child\u201d the lady smiled and asked as I realized that she really was \u2018a lady\u2019 in the truest sense of the word.<\/p>\n

I nodded as she turned to Rosie \u201cSiobhan will make us the tea\u201d she smiled knowingly, \u201ccome to the kitchen while Tyrone and Roibhil\u00edn prepare the table.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201chuh? What? Siobhan? Tyrone? Roibhil\u00edn?\u201d I thought\u2026as I watched the 3 large adults I\u2019d entered the house with scuttle off as obedient children to fill their mother\u2019s wishes.<\/p>\n
