every once in a while<\/span><\/strong>
I get my eyes opened for me<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
sometimes it comes in the form<\/span><\/strong>
of a compliment from a peer…<\/span><\/strong>
and sometimes it comes in listening <\/span><\/strong>
to the voice of others….<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
I’ve spoken to you before<\/span><\/strong>
about the writing of a woman named Crystal<\/span><\/strong>
who writes <\/span><\/strong>“Boobs, Injuries and Dr Pepper”<\/span><\/strong><\/a>
<\/span><\/strong>
Crystal is one of the most intelligent, funny <\/span><\/strong>
and gifted on line writers I’ve ever read<\/span><\/strong>
and she is very well read…<\/span><\/strong>
each post often garners as many as 100 comments<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
recently Crystal has been writing a series<\/span><\/strong>
not unlike the story I’m currently writing <\/span><\/strong>
from my own personal history <\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
only hers is now…not history<\/span><\/strong>
it’s an erudite epic of grand proportions<\/span><\/strong>
and it revolves over\/around\/through<\/span><\/strong>
Crystal experiencing a “breakdown”<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
I admit when I first began to read <\/span><\/strong>
the “Crazy Chronicles”<\/span><\/strong>
I was reluctant to get involved<\/span><\/strong>
I was somewhat embarrassed for her <\/span><\/strong>
I was concerned about her mental health<\/span><\/strong>
but not enough to get involved<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
then over time,<\/span><\/strong>
I found myself protective of her<\/span><\/strong>
I found myself telling her to continue<\/span><\/strong>
to not stop because some boneheads<\/span><\/strong>
were sending her emails<\/span><\/strong>
suggesting that she was <\/span><\/strong>
ruining a good thing<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
because in my eyes<\/span><\/strong>
above all else<\/span><\/strong>
blogging isn’t about the readership<\/span><\/strong>
it’s about the writer<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
one of today’s posts on Crystal’s blog<\/span><\/strong>
is about a monumental occurrence in her life<\/span><\/strong>
that also happened to be <\/span><\/strong>
a monumental occurrence in mine<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
I am completely overwhelmed <\/span><\/strong>
with the absolute humility <\/span><\/strong>
and strength of character<\/span><\/strong>
it must take <\/span><\/strong>
for this woman <\/span><\/strong>
to write the story she’s telling<\/span><\/strong>
in such detail<\/span><\/strong>
without <\/span><\/strong>
coming <\/span><\/strong>
completely <\/span><\/strong>
off <\/span><\/strong>
the <\/span><\/strong>
rails.<\/span><\/strong>
and<\/span><\/strong>
I am obliged <\/span><\/strong>
to experience<\/span><\/strong>
through her writing <\/span><\/strong>
a catharsis <\/span><\/strong>
of my own…<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
