some people<\/span>
relish change<\/p>\n

<\/span>me<\/p>\n

<\/span>not so much<\/span><\/p>\n

once upon a time I had a man best friend<\/span>
and a woman best friend<\/span>
I introduced them to each other<\/span>
and they “twinkled”<\/span><\/p>\n

about a year later they married<\/span>
and have been living happily ever after<\/span>
about an hour up the road from me<\/span><\/p>\n

I was afraid at first<\/span>
(cos ya gotta know<\/span>
it’s allllll about me)<\/span>
that something would happen<\/span>
and they would end up breaking up<\/span>
and then where would I be?<\/span><\/p>\n

but I’ve watched them carefully<\/span>
both up close and personal<\/span>
and from afar<\/span>
and I am happy to report
that they are just fine!<\/span><\/p>\n

happily ever after they are….<\/span><\/p>\n

fast forward to last night…<\/p>\n

<\/span>I attended<\/span>
a “going away” party<\/span>
for these two who are<\/span>
two of my closest<\/span>
dearest<\/span>
friends<\/span><\/p>\n

everyone had nice things to say<\/span>
and we all wept<\/span><\/p>\n

tears of joy for new beginnings for them<\/span>
tears of loss and sorrow for the new distance<\/span>
that will be between us<\/p>\n

<\/span>fully recognizing that the kind of friendships we’ve built<\/span>
won’t disappear with a 4-5 hour drive<\/span><\/p>\n

me?<\/span>
I’m soo happy for what they have<\/span>
and sad for what I feel like I’m losing<\/span>
that I can’t stop laughing and crying<\/span><\/p>\n

so here’s what I want them both to know….<\/span>
you can move<\/span>
but you can’t get rid of me that easy!<\/span><\/p>\n

I love you both so very much
