it really takes character<\/span><\/strong>
to understand it<\/span><\/strong>
eh?<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
I’ve spent the most part <\/span><\/strong>
of the last two days<\/span><\/strong>
on the internet<\/span><\/strong>
consoling friends from distances <\/span><\/strong>
far and wide<\/span><\/strong>
over the loss of our riding\/internet friend <\/span><\/strong>
GreyBeard<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
and while doing that I’ve also<\/span><\/strong>
watched almost all<\/span><\/strong>
of season 1<\/span><\/strong>
of StarGate…SG1<\/span><\/strong>
just for shits n giggles…<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
the thing I liked about GreyBeard<\/span><\/strong>
was his readiness to accept people<\/span><\/strong>
for what they are<\/span><\/strong>
not what we wanted them to be<\/span><\/strong>
himself included<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
that acceptance of humanity<\/span><\/strong>
good, bad or indifferent<\/span><\/strong>
in hopes of learning from it<\/span><\/strong>
was a blessing he bestowed upon<\/span><\/strong>
or taught many of us….<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
he wasn’t a superhero<\/span><\/strong>
he was human<\/span><\/strong>
and he knew it…<\/span><\/strong>
but he tried<\/span><\/strong>
and what more can ya ask for?<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
the thing I like about SG1<\/span><\/strong>
is that every episode comes with a moral<\/span><\/strong>
a small reminder of the state <\/span><\/strong>
of the human condition<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
not so very different <\/span><\/strong>
than thinking about my friend GreyBeard<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span><\/strong>
life<\/span><\/strong>
and the remembrance <\/span><\/strong>
<\/span>that it really takes character
to understand it <\/span><\/strong>
