for me this holiday season<\/strong>
(surprisingly enough)<\/strong>
has been the fadder<\/strong>
(bad breath and all)<\/strong>
<\/strong>
he’s truly listened to my thoughts <\/strong>
and fears <\/strong>
for the VOD<\/strong>
and agrees as a result of what he’ seen<\/strong>
over the last week<\/strong>
<\/strong>
that in itself is affirming for me<\/strong>
it’s not just that the VOD and I are too close<\/strong>
and I’m being judgemental…<\/strong>
<\/strong>
it’s that she is changing<\/strong>
she is getting “mean”<\/strong>
and she is drinking way way too much<\/strong>
<\/strong>
the other night at my cuz’s house<\/strong>
she fell flat on her arse<\/strong>
so maybe I can at least convince her that <\/strong>
a cane wouldn’t be remiss<\/strong>
<\/strong>
Christmas was kinda a let down<\/strong>
the Christmas eve family gathering<\/strong>
was not attending by the VOD<\/strong>
she said she was “too tired”<\/strong>
but mostly she was too hung <\/strong>
I know…cos all the “cure” beer<\/strong>
is gone from my fridge<\/strong>
(amazing what?)<\/strong>
<\/strong>
and it’s hard when you are with a family<\/strong>
that makes a great living<\/strong>
and they are as kind and as generous<\/strong>
as my cuz’z are….<\/strong>
I feel like the poor relation<\/strong>
(likely cos I am…but that’s another story)<\/strong>
<\/strong>
so for Christmas….<\/strong>
I got a new TV…<\/strong>
well new to me anyway<\/strong>
it’s huge….<\/strong>
well huge for my little apartment anyway<\/strong>
it’s a good 10 inches larger than the one I’ve been using<\/strong>
my cuz got it from her aunt<\/strong>
and they upgraded to flat’s this year<\/strong>
so I got this behemoth<\/strong>
that just seems to be “taking over”<\/strong>
my living room<\/strong>
<\/strong>
the other thing is that it’s sitting on top<\/strong>
of the old one for now<\/strong>
because I don’t have a table or shelf for it<\/strong>
so the fadder gave me some money <\/strong>
to get myself something to put it on<\/strong>
but going from a floor model to something <\/strong>
that large and that high<\/strong>
is making my living room look slightly off center…<\/strong>
not bad<\/strong>
just odd<\/strong>
if ya know what I mean<\/strong>
<\/strong>
could be worse…<\/strong>
I could be living with someone with one o them<\/strong>
“big screens” that all my friends have<\/strong>
them things are just silly <\/strong>
and I’m not used to watching tv<\/strong>
where people’s heads are larger than mine!<\/strong>
<\/strong>
the only thing that was truly in abundance this year<\/strong>
was the food<\/strong>
culminating in a metric ton of honey garlic spare ribs <\/strong>
last night<\/strong>
I’m so full from 4 days of eating like this<\/strong>
that I may explode!<\/strong> <\/span><\/span>
and I feel like I’ve been “on the go for months”<\/strong><\/span>
what happened to all the movies I was to see<\/strong><\/span>
over this holiday?<\/strong><\/span>
<\/strong><\/span>
my horoscope for today says:<\/strong><\/span>
You may not want to wander very far from your bedroom today, and that is fine, dear Leo. Take this opportunity to stick close to home and get things done around the house that make you feel like your energy is an important part of the atmosphere. Hang new pictures, read inspiring articles, and laugh at magazine cartoons out that inspire your creative nature and humorous side. Be soft and gentle with your words and actions. you guessed it….day of position on the couch!<\/strong><\/span>

I’m really looking forward to Sunday and Monday<\/span><\/strong>
New Years…..<\/span><\/strong>
I’m going up the island to visit with my friends<\/span><\/strong>
the people that keep me sane<\/span><\/strong>
