yesterday <\/span><\/strong>
was not an easy day<\/span><\/strong>
for me….<\/span><\/strong>

it was, as they say,
bittersweet<\/p>\n

I told my team
that I am leaving
next Friday<\/p>\n

which made my friend Tami
cry
which made me cry
which made more of us cry
and resulted in
me crying on and off all day long<\/p>\n

fuck eh?<\/p>\n

but I told them the truth
I told them in no uncertain terms
that they are all smart
intelligent
ethical
integral people
that they have “skills”
and that they need to believe
in themselves
as much
as I believe in them<\/p>\n

I think I even did
a little begging
that none of them be
so resistant to change
that they burn their bridges
cos they have mouths to feed
and mortgages to pay
etc etc<\/p>\n

I hope they believe me
when I say
that
should they decided
that the time for greater change
is upon them
I will do
anything I can to assist <\/span><\/strong>
even so far<\/span><\/strong>
as to go into <\/span><\/strong>
the grand poohbah’s office<\/span><\/strong>
and beg him <\/span><\/strong>
to keep the team together<\/span><\/strong>
and give them someone <\/span><\/strong>
as strong and smart <\/span><\/strong>
tough and wise<\/span><\/strong>
fun and humorous<\/span><\/strong>
as they need<\/span><\/strong>
to keep them together
<\/span><\/strong>
and if <\/span><\/strong>
and when<\/span><\/strong>
they do<\/span><\/strong>
decide to move on…<\/span><\/strong>
