I’m having a Thanksgiving moment…<\/span><\/p>\n

my family is doing Thanksgiving today<\/span>
as I have to work tomorrow<\/span>
nice of them…but<\/span>
(there’s always a but eh?)<\/span>
<\/span>
I am truly happy that my mother (aka the Voice of Doom)<\/span>
has made it thru the full year since she found out she had health issues<\/span>
intact<\/span>
but I swear to god<\/span>
if I don’t get some bloody separation from this woman<\/span>
I may kill her myself!<\/span>
<\/span>
we are to attend my cousin’s house at 1 pm for family festivities<\/span>
it takes her a minimum of 2 hours <\/span>
to get her little old lady on<\/span>
so why the hell is she actin like she’s nothing to do today?<\/span>
cos my brother<\/span>
the golden boy<\/span>
and his children will be here sometime today<\/span>
so<\/span>
she’s all in a fuckin flutter <\/span>
making sure that her house is perfect <\/span>
cos he’s coming<\/span>
and he ain’t even gonna stay at her house<\/span>
they are stayin at the cousin’s <\/span>
cos there’s more room<\/span>
<\/span>
WTF?<\/span>
I ask her when we will be leaving<\/span>
and she says “we’ll play it by ear”<\/span>
which means <\/span>
everyone else will be there at 1<\/span>
and we’ll roll in some time around 4<\/span>
and in the interim I should be ready willing and able to leave at a moments notice<\/span>
in case she changes her fucking mind<\/span>
<\/span>
and then I’ll have the profound pleasure<\/span>
of watching them all get drunk as sot’s<\/span>
before pouring her into the car<\/span>
to bring her home<\/span>
<\/span>
WTF?<\/span>
there are times when this business of being the eldest<\/span>
carries some huge suckage.<\/span>
