I come home from work <\/span>
every night<\/span>
and collapse on my couch<\/span>
in tears<\/span>
<\/span>
I sleep and dream<\/span>
discordant<\/span>
lunatic dreams<\/span>
of the job<\/span>
and I wake weeping<\/span>
<\/span>
I get up in the morning <\/span>
to no joy<\/span>
I force myself to <\/span>
dress and get out the door<\/span>
<\/span>
I weep in the car on my <\/span>
way to work<\/span>
I fight with myself<\/span>
to enter the building<\/span>
<\/span>
and I weep 5 or 6 times<\/span>
over the course of the day<\/span>
<\/span>
We are hemorrhaging managers<\/span>
they are dropping like flies<\/span>
and still the big wig’s don’t get it<\/span>
<\/span>
today I spent a total <\/span>
of 5.5 hrs <\/span>
“meeting” with my interim<\/span>
touchy feelsgood Supervisor<\/span>
<\/span>
almost 3 hours of that time<\/span>
was also attended by 4 of my peers<\/span>
we all said the same thing<\/span>
there are not enough hours in the day<\/span>
<\/span>
and still the party line is<\/span>
“buck up little princess…<\/span>
you don’t know what hard work is”<\/span>
<\/span>
the new Supervisor<\/span>
likes the sound of his own voice<\/span>
he listens with his lips<\/span>
<\/span>
at the end of the day<\/span>
I have spent 5.5 useless hours<\/span>
explaining to the blameless Sup<\/span>
that my time is wasted<\/span>
because I don’t have the time<\/span>
to do the job <\/span>
<\/span>
he says that he hears<\/span>
but he still says it’s my fault<\/span>
<\/span>
if he could just get his head<\/span>
outta his ass long enough to hear himself<\/span>
he’d be embarrassed<\/span>
if he was smart enough <\/span>
to be embarrassed<\/span>
<\/span>
