I’m off to another funeral today
I don’t like it
and I don’t wanna go
but at the end of the day
it’s not about me
it’s about the people left behind

I don’t suppose that
Tanya’s family and friends have any idea
what exactly they are on for
cos they don’t know how many of us there are

but they must know what
a huge part
respect
plays in our lives

they must – because there is every indication
that respect was the reason that Jeff chose to ride with us

the whole thing is making me feel old
I’ve come to the time of my life
where the number of funerals I go to yearly
outweighs
the number of weddings

*sigh*

How come
we never see
those Hummer trucks
in the country
er
in the bush?

is it the price of gas
er the price of prestige?
