hello blogosphere
been a long time eh?

the life
is currently
nuts

this is the busiest season at work
and I’m working long hours
and falling into bed early
when I get home

so I can get up early
and do it all over again

all of this has
been thoroughly complicated
by a rash of the crappiest weather
we’ve seen on this island
in a couple of winters

people driving
like their heads
are firmly planted
up their asses

people all suffering
from the full
harvest moon crazies

I’m tired
but I’ll have
a good nights sleep tonight
and we’ll see you on the flip!

we have a choir here you know?

it’s great for the spirit
and a great break
from the daily tasks?

You hum or sing
to yourself all the time
you actually sing
under your breath all day long

music is such a huge portion
of your day…

why don’t you sing?

is it cos you don’t think you can?
everyone can sing you know
the voice is a tool
and like with any new tool
practice makes perfect..

why don’t you sing??”

the human voice never ceases
to amaze me

harmonies rock my world

and for a non-christian
I am ever moved by works
like the Messiah

this Random Act of Culture
made me weep all over myself this morning

so
I can’t sing in a choral group
because I lose complete control
and become a wet sniveling snotty mess
hardly lovely
and hardly conducive to carrying a tune…

but boy howdy! ya ought to hear me in the shower….
